Histology of Fissures in Human Unerupted Teeth

An investigation into the contents of the fissures of unerupted teeth was made using light and scanning electron microscopy techniques. For the study, 193 unerupted teeth were used. The presence of ameloblasts in the fissures was substantiated, and their role in forming the fissure is discussed.
