Autotransplants and Allotransplants of Teeth in the Subcutaneous Tissue of Rabbits: A Histological Study

Autotransplants and allotransplants of rabbit teeth were performed heterotopically into the subcutaneous tissue and were studied morphologically and histochemically. The results suggest that the periodontal ligament plays a major role in the success of tooth transplantation.
