Mechanical properties of polycarboxylate cements are greatly improved by incorporation of high modulus fibers such as potassium titanate into acrylic-itaconic acid and acrylicitaconic-aconitic acid copolymers. Other desirable properties of the cements are not changed by the addition of fibers.
