Through the use of anodic polarization studies in Ringer's solution, the electrochemical behavior of
1 phase of dental amalgam (Ag2Hg3) and
1 containing dissolved tin is compared with that for the
2 phase in dental amalgam (Sn7-8Hg). The results indicate that when tin is dissolved in
1 it does not affect the electrochemical behavior of that phase.
