Measurement of Fluoride Uptake and Release in Teeth by Activation Analysis

High energy photon activation analysis was used as a method by which fluoride uptake and removal in individual whole teeth or tooth structures was followed for long periods of time. Whole tooth fluoridation by topical treatment or after immersion in fluoride solutions can be followed by this method.
