Sounld enamel blocks had significantly h'higher fluoride concentrations after being placed in contact with zinc oxide-eugenol cements containing monoflutorophosphate in vitro than control blocks covered with no cement or a conventional ZOE cement. The acid solubility of intact enamel surfaces after exposure to ZOE cements containing MFP also was reduced significantly.
