Determinants of Variations in the Supply and Distribution of Dental Manpower Among Metropolitan Areas

Multiple regression techniques were used to determine the impact of several demographic, socioeconomic, and environmental characteristics of the population on the supply and distribution of dental services among 342 large and small metropolitan areas. The variables selected explained about 48% of the variance in the supply of dental services.
