Adsorption of Water on Tooth Components and Related Materials

By use of a novel, simply constructed, vaporcirculating apparatus, complete water adsorption isotherms, and surface areas derived therefrom, were obtained for tooth components and representative dental materials. Characteristic hysteresis loops were found for all materials studied.
