Role of Attrition and Occlusal Contact in the Physiology of Rat Incisors: V. Life Cycle of Inner Enamel Epithelial Cells at Various Rates of Eruption

A kinetic study of the inner enamel epithelium (IEE) in impeded and unimpeded rat incisors proved that cell production in the IEE is directly proportional to the speed of eruption. Therefore, the rate of IEE cell production can be derived from eruption measurements.
