An Alteration in Human Diabetic Arterioles

Serial sections of palatal mucosa from diabetic and nondiabetic patients were evaluated histochemically. An aldehyde-fuchsinand acid-orcein-positive deposition occurred primarily in the adventitia of diabetic arterioles, as compared with nondiabetic vessels.
