Direct current potentials in the humerus, femur, and tibia of the growing rabbit showed a consistent pattern of change: the diaphysis was electropositive in relation to the metaphysis. The growing epiphysis and epiphyseal line were identified electrically. Variations in bone contour, ridges, tuberosities, and points of muscle attachments did not alter the polarity of the bone.
