The antisolubility effect of some precipitate free, dilute aqueous solutions of stannous fluoride against acid demineralization was determined through an in vitro decalcification test on the intact surface enamel of human teeth. Significant decrease in solubility occurred after treatment in spite of the highly reduced concentrations of titratable stannous ions found.
