Characterization of Water Spray Devices

Five pulsating and four continuous, commercially available, water spray devices were evaluated. Rate of discharge, rate of pulsation, force and velocity of spray, stream shape, and spray action were studied. Damage with regular use of a continuous water spray on a zinc phosphate cement was minimal.
