Comparative Effects of a Purified Diet and a Natural Food Stock Ration on the Occurrence of Periodontal Lesions in Thyrotoxic Rats

Thyrotoxic rats developed severe periodontal disease after a few weeks on a purified diet containing all known nutrients. Lesions did not occur in thyrotoxic rats fed a natural food stock ration nor the purified diet with dietary supplements.
