Precipitate-Free, Dilute Aqueous Solutions of Stannous Fluoride for Topical Application: I. Simple and Mixed Mediums

Sodium fluoride, glycerol, and tartaric acid maintained dilute aqueous solutions of stannous fluoride precipitate-free under the conditions of this experiment. In the absence of any precipitate, a "loss" of either stannous ions or both stannous and fluoride ions, indicates the possibility of the formation of water-soluble complexes in these solutions.
