Calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium content and variability and Ca/P molar ratios in cortical and trabecular bone of the mandible of the rhesus monkey were determined with the electron microprobe. Ca, P, and Mg content was more variable in areas of trabecular bone than in areas of cortical bone. Ca/P molar ratios were similar in each monkey regardless of bone type.
