Correlation of Some Oral Hygiene Variables with Age, Sex, and Incidence of Oral Protozoa

This study was undertaken to determine correlations among variables investigated in 1,036 dental patients. Particular attention was given to the prevalence of two oral protozoa, Entamoeba gingivalis and Trichomonas tenax. The reaction of these organisms to fluoridation was also studied.
