Cephalometric Study of Craniofacial Development in Rabbits with Impaired Masticatory Function

CONRAD E. MC FEE 1 and JOSEPH H. KRONMAN 1

1 Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts 02111

This study established that the craniofacial complex of rabbits grew primarily in an anteroposterior direction after obliteration of the coronal portion of posterior and anterior teeth on the right side. Some deviation of the midline toward the functional side was observed in treated rabbits. This deviation was not observed in untreated rabbits.
