Sections of dentin from intact and parathyroidectomized rats were subjected to various histochemical reactions to determine the changes in dentin after parathyroidectomy. The results indicate that there was an alteration in the protein-mucopolysaccharide complex of the organic matrix, resulting in deficient mineralization.
