A tetracycline bone labeling method was used for quantitative evaluation of bone remodeling changes in tibias and mandibles after intraperitoneal administration of radioactive sodium phosphate (32p). Periosteal bone formation decreased during the 60-day experimental period, whereas endosteal formation rates were not altered significantly.
