The extent and duration of experimental vascular occlusion in the periodontium of squirrel monkeys was determined by India ink perfusion. Three hours after the induction of carbonized nuicrospheres, only yessels of the periodontal ligament contained perfusion material. The palatal gingiva was vascularized before the maxillary huccal gin giva. Gingival vessels adjacent to the epithelial attachment and crevicular epithelizhumn vascularized first.
