This study on 32 rats was undertaken to determine the effect of butyl cyanoacrylate surface dressing on the healing of skin wounds. Animals which were killed from 0 to 21 days postoperatively showed that use of this adhesive greatly reduces edema, inflammation, and the amount of granulation tissue.
