Sections of dentin from intact and gonadectomized male and female rats were subjected to various histochemical reactions to determine the changes in the dentin after gonadectomy. The results indicated that there was an alteration in the protein-mucopolysaccharide component of the dentin and in its synthesis or state of aggregation.
