We can afford to be encouraged by the orderly growth of our national meetings, and the evidence for a logarithmic growth rate of investigators interested in dental research. Yet this growth will change the character of our meeting and cause us to make some decisions regarding how the growth may be accommodated. If dental schools are to maintain the leadership they now possess, they must expand the equipped space they provide for research.
