It is manifest that both the solutions tested have similar qualities in regard to duration of effect. However, L67 4 per cent is capable of acting in lower dosage and certainly has a much higher efficiency rate than mepivacaine 3 per cent (94 per cent against 82 per cent), where short duration is required and where epinephrine-free solutions are desirable for other reasons. It therefore emerges as the more reliable of the two.
In conclusion, the suitable dosages for L67 4 per cent are excerpted from the charts as shown in the accompanying tabulation.
