The chronology of the formation of the permanent mandibular posterior (C-M3) teeth and the later stages of the permanent maxillary and mandibular incisors was determined and presented in graphic form. The charts were designed specifically for determining the dental maturation of an individual child for each tooth separately. The authors are indebted to Dr. Harold C. Stuart, Professor of Maternal and Child Health, Emeritus, for the use of data collected under his direction at the School of Public Health, Harvard University.
