Vitamin A and Sulfur Metabolism

S35 metabolism was followed in normal and vitamin A-deficient Sprague-Dawley male weanling rats following an intraperitoneal injection of S35-labeled cystine. The data from the deficient animals showed a decrease in total sulfur output, of which a greater proportion was as sulfate.
