Effect of Some Environmental Factors on Sequence of Permanent Tooth Eruption

P. ADLER 1

1 Department of Stomatology, University Medical School, Debrecen, Hungary

It was demonstrated that the sequence of permanent tooth eruption is influenced by the prevalence of dental caries in the deciduous dentition, i.e., by "premature" extraction of deciduous teeth. In Hungary, this factor seemed to exert an accelerating effect on the eruption of the permanent successor. The sequence of tooth eruption also seemed to depend, furthermore, in some way on the age of the examinees. It differed in "early" and "late" eruptors. This difference seemed to have a genetic background.
