The method of activation allowed measurement of the copper content of the outer and inner enamel layers of individual teeth. With this method the copper content of 100 teeth was estimated, and a mean value of 9.5 ppm of copper for the outer enamel layer and 11.3 ppm for the inner enamel layer was obtained.
