Measurements of cementum thickness were made on 109 single-rooted teeth from India. The average cementum thicknesses in different root areas of these teeth were compared with those found in previous studies of healthy and periodontally diseased teeth from the United States. There appeared a significant difference between the average thickness of the cementum in these three groups. There was less cementum on the teeth from India than on those from the two American groups.
