The findings of this study demonstrate that the dental x-ray units vary greatly in the roentgen output both in comparison of units of different manufacturers and somewhat less greatly in units of the same manufacturer. This variability is sufficient to defeat the efforts to standardize dental radiographic technics to produce uniform results.
