Daily brushing of the molar teeth of hamsters with a control and an ammoniated dentifrice resulted in significant reductions of caries experience of approximately the same magnitude, whereas the ingestion of the drugs incorporated into the caries-producing diet resulted in a further reduction of the incidence of caries.
