1. The ash, calcium, and phosphorus content of human enamel and dentin did not vary with caries experience or age.
2. An eightfold increase in enamel fluorine was not related to any change in enamel ash, calcium, or phosphorus.
3. A tenfold increase in dentin fluorine was not related to any change in dentin, calcium, and phosphorus. There was a slight increase in the ash content of highly fluorosed dentin.
