The Syrian hamster, Cricetus auratus, is described as to its phylogenetic relationship and anatomical characteristics pertaining to the dentition. The calcification, eruption, and morphology of the molar dentition is described and discussed and the distribution and types of carious lesions in the molar teeth are also described.
