THE NASO-MEATAL LINE AS A GUIDE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE OCCLUSAL PLANE

1. It has been shown that in the child the occlusal plane more nearly parallels the naso-meatal line than it does in the adult; an explanation for this in terms of growth is offered.

2. The amount of variation in the relation of the occlusal plane to the naso-meatal line to the occlusal plane in the adult has been indicated.
