CHEMICAL STUDIES ON PERIODONTAL DISEASE—I

The rate of putrefaction of saliva as measured by means of the osmoscope and the formol titration has been studied. Although the saliva from individuals suffering from periodontal disease in general decomposes more rapidly than that from normal mouths, the individual variations are quite marked.
