FINDINGS IN RELATION TO RESORPTION OF DECIDUOUS TEETH IN THE DOG

LLOYD B. URBAN B.S.1

1 Department of Histology, Northwestern University Dental School, Chicago, Ill.

The epithelial attachment proliferates down the root, which may indicate that the resorbing deciduous tooth undergoes an eruptive movement.

Detachment of the epithelial attachment from the tooth surface, and the excursion of the roughened, deciduous fragment during the later stages of resorption, produce extensive injuries and infection in the adjacent tissues.
